Derw Glass Uses the latest in Computer Numerical Control (CNC). We are able to offer bespoke glass cutting with limitless possibilities in shape and glass designs.
CNC Processing routers are controlled completely by a computer. Coordinates are uploaded into the machines controller from a separate CAD program. This insures there is no possibility for human error.
There are many advantages to using CNC Processing Machines. The process is more precise than manual machining, and can be repeated in exactly the same manner over and over again. Because of this machine we can now have the capability to produce glass table tops, counter tops, show cases, glass display cabinets and not forgetting shaped glass balustrades.
Because of the precision possible with CNC Machining, this process can produce complex shapes that would be almost impossible to achieve with manual machining.
CNC Machining is used in the production of many complex three-dimensional shapes. It is because of these qualities that CNC Machining is used in jobs that need a high level of precision or very repetitive tasks.
Our CNC workstation can manufacture glass from 4mm to 19mm thickness.
Glass splashback with socket cut outs are also no problem no matter how tricky the template might be, our equipment will digitize templates to make sure they are 100% correct.
